Omniplex classics / bring it back

One thing that I love about Omniplex cinemas is when they do the ‘bring it back’ screenings otherwise known as omniplex classics. When they add more screenings of movies that have been out of the cinema for a long time. This tends to be on movie anniversary or when there is a holiday like Halloween or Christmas.

This is amazing for whenever you missed the chance to see something in the cinema or when you get to experience an older movie on the big screen. Being October currently there are a lot of older Halloween movies coming back to the cinema. These movies are perfect for the cinema viewing experience. I would say some movies are best watched in the cinema, so having the chance to see them that way is thrilling. Some of the movies they have back right now are Coco (2017), The Exorcist (1973), Practical Magic (1998) and Scream (1996). I am defiantly excited to go and see some of these classic movies in the Cinema.

These viewings can also be good when a sequel has come out years after the release of the first movie. They will sometimes add the original movie into the cinemas before the new movie comes out which makes it more likely for more people who were not introduced to the movie before to see the second one. This can be seen with Practical magic (1998) as a second movie has come out recently. At one point both of these movies where in the cinema at the same time. Meaning people could do a movie marathon and watch both in the cinema on the same day.

I have watched two bring it back movies at the cinema on the same day before. There was a bring it back of Paddington 1 and 2 a few days before the 3rd one came out. So, we went to both Paddington 1 and 2 in the same day to get a refresh before the new one came out. This was extremely fun and it was an amazing experience that I would defiantly recommend.

These types of screenings can be extremely fun when you haven’t seen the movie that they are bringing back. It can introduce people to classic movies, making sure that they are remembered and loved by future generations. Furthermore, it is always exciting when a movie you love is brought back and you can see it again or even for the first time in the cinema. I would definitely recommend that you go to one of these screenings if you haven’t already to experience a classic movie on the big screen.
